with Kathy Salvo
Any of the 365 days we spend orbiting the sun can leave us feeling a little out of sorts and in need of some kind of release. That's why there's Yoga R&R. This 2 hour restorative yoga workshop focuses on relaxation and renewal, which can only lead to heart opening bliss. Using blocks, bolsters, straps and blankets for extra support, you will hold postures for an extended period of time so you can really experience all of their benefits. Connect your newly quieted mind with your relaxed (and balanced) body. Aromatherapy is also used to lighten and shift your energy level up a notch!
Kathy Salvo, E-RYT-200/RYT-500
Instructor
Kathy started practicing yoga in 1989, the year she competed in her first Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii. Since then, yoga has been Kathy's secret weapon for successfully completing, injury free, 9 Ironman Triathlons around the world and over 20 marathons. She is now committed to helping others achieve their own goals. Kathy received her 200-hour certification from the Saraswati Yoga Joint in Norwalk, CT and is further developing her practice by studying with Rodney Yee Colleen Saidman Yee in an advanced teacher study program.
Restorative yoga has become another dimension in her practice, studying with Rodney Yee , Richard Rosen and Judith Lasater. Restorative can take the place of and is often more effective than massage to reduce stress, fatigue and correct the imbalances we develop over time
